115 MWe South Rhodes Power Plant in Rhodes Island, Greece

The Project concerns the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of a new Power Plant, producing 115.4 MWe net electrical capacity, located at Catavia area in Rhodes Island, Greece. The Power Plant comprises 7 four stroke diesel engines generating electric power 16,49 kWe net power output each, complete with their auxiliary equipment, onshore and offshore facilities. Primary fuel is low sulphur content HFO. The engines are capable to operate with diesel and natural gas (future). The Plant is consisting of offshore fuel unloading facilities, sea water handling facilities, fuel and water pipelines, Machine hall, Electrical and Control building, Administration building, 150kV HV Substation, MV/LV Substation , HFO DFO and Lubrication oil tank farms complete with treatment and forwarding facilities, WTP, WWTP, DeNOx and Urea facilities, DeSOx provision (future), Exhaust gas boilers, Auxiliary steam generator , Compressed air system, Service water system, Heating, HVAC and Ventilation facilities, Firefighting systems, Piping, MV/ LV/DC electrical systems for the whole plant, Diesel generator, DCS, instrumentation, various concrete and steel structures, roads and landscaping.

Provided Services

  • Detailed Design / Engineering for Main Power Plant and Onshore Facilities, including:
      • all main and secondary mechanical systems and mechanical installations for all buildings
      • all main and secondary electrical systems and electrical installations for all buildings and outdoors
      • I&C systems in coordination with Engines and DCS suppliers
      • fuel and lube oil tank farms, pipes and steel structures
      • all main and secondary process pipelines all over the Plant
  • Support on permitting by Authorities.
