Detailed Engineering Design for the Onshore Part of the Natural Gas High Pressure Pipeline Stefani – Aliveri

of Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) S.A.

The project concerns the construction of the onshore part of a high pressure natural gas pipeline to connect the Natural Gas Transmission System (NGTS) of DESFA at Stefani with the new power plant of PPC at Aliveri in Evia island (Greece).

The project consists of the following main facilities and components:

  • 58.5 km of 20 inch diameter high-pressure gas pipeline
  • Three Line Valve Stations
  • Two Terminal Scraper Stations
  • Hot Tapping at existing Stefani LVS for the connection of the new pipeline system with the existing main pipeline being in operation
  • Tie-in activities of the onshore and the offshore pipeline systems nearby the shore landfalls in Attica and Evia Island
  • SCADA and Telecommunication System integrated with the existing NGTS control system
